This project implemented the control of the iris on CCTV lenses as well as the remote trigger of FireWire video cameras. The controller is connected to a master controller via an I2C bus. This bus allows multiple controllers to be present to control multiple cameras. The lenses are controlled by the use of a digital potentiometer that controls the aperture to adjust for optimum exposure of the scene. Power comes from the FireWire bus that connects the camera to the acquisition system. Below are a couple of scans of the circuit boards.
